David Mas Masumoto is an award-winning writer and organic farmer whose books include Heirlooms, Letters to the Valley, Four Seasons in Five Senses, Harvest Son, Epitaph for a Peach, and Wisdom of the Last Farmer.

For the Nature Dreaming radio project, California Legacy Project Director Terry Beers paid a visit to award-winning writer and organic farmer David Mas Masumoto. The conversation ranged from topics like the relationship of writing and physical work to the art of irrigation. Here are some portions of that conversation, which took place in July, 2010 at the Masumoto family farm near Del Rey, California.
